Megan & Chris ~ A Mediterranean Wedding

Wow I have been slacking on my blog postings! I'm sorry everyone, I will try harder. I do alot of Twittering (yes, I think that is a real word) if you want to check me out there too @SarahDu4. I have alot on my plate this holiday season so I don't want to fall behind. Ok, back to work.

Here is the wedding of Megan and Chris. They were married over Labor Day weekend. You might remember her bridal portrait we did early this summer. She is such a beautiful and amazing bride. When she laughs, she literally lights up the room. I had a great time getting to know her, Chris and the whole family these past few months. We were connected through my mother-in-law who seems to know everyone in town, but I digress.
The wedding was held at the Gallery. A lovely Mediterranean style event space with great back drops around every corner. Megan works with an interior designer so no detail was left behind. This wedding was absolutely stunning. The threat of rain made its appearance when I arrived, but once we started taking the family shots, its as if it knew it was not welcome. The rest of the evening went off with out a hitch. The whole party ate, drank and danced until the bride and groom said their good byes.

Congratulations to you both, Megan and Chris!

2010 Debutante ~ A New Season Begins

In honor of the official start to Debutante Season, I am posting just a few of my favorites from last season. I begin tonight and I am so excited! Last season was great and I think it gets better every year. I hear the girls this year are fabulous and why wouldn't they be. I can't wait to see the new fashions and old friends.

Congrats to the Debutante's of 2010!

Valerie & John ~ A Perfect Summer Wedding

I was the second shooter for this wedding in the middle of the summer. I was nervous. As I've said before, being Houston in the summer, it gets H-O-T! Luckily, this was an evening wedding and the only time I spent outside was running from the door to the car. Thank you Valerie for keeping it inside!
These two have been together for a long time and their love shines like it was the first day they said "I love you" to each other. So sweet, so special. As his gift to her, he gave a shadow box of a list they made while in collage of all the things they wished to accomplish together. He added small mementos that he'd held on to. There was not a dry eye in the room when she opened it. I got a little teary eyed myself! I'm glad I was using auto focus because I might have missed the moment. The rest of the evening was just as emotional. I am so happy to be apart of this day and witness this much love.
Thank you and congratulations Valerie and John!
