It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Christmas is almost here and I can't believe it! It's been crazy trying to get everything done when I've been so busy with parties and working and family. I'm so glad I've got the next week and a half off to just breathe.
I wanted to share with you what my Christmas is looking like right now.

Here is my hus-band putting his train set together from when he was a kid around our first Christmas tree in our own house. Please note there are presents under the tree now.

Here is the White Elephant present I won at my office Christmas Party. I actually had to steal it from someone to keep it. Why would no one want this sweet faced Elf?

And last, but not least, me and my girls (Aja, Me and Jenna) at the Houston Ballet's Nutcracker. It never feels like Christmas begins until I go see the Nutcracker. Thanks for coming with me ladies, I had a blast!

I''ll be back with a Good Bye 2010, Hello 2011 post of my favorites from the past year. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday season this year.
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Baby Blake ~ A Little One

Blake was 4 weeks old when I got to meet her and shoot her first portrait. I was worried she'd be asleep the whole time since she had just been bathed and fed, but I was wrong. She was awake and posing for me throughout the whole session. Mommy and daddy did a great job as well keeping her happy and making her smile. I can't wait to see her again on her next mile stone that needs to be photographed.
Welcome to the world Sweet Baby Blake.

Thanksgiving ~ A New Tradition

I have returned from Playa del Carmen, Mexico. My husband and I, along with his parents, flew to Mexico for Thanksgiving this year. I went down there to shoot a friends wedding and we all decided to together and celebrate Thanksgiving in a new way. I think we might have started a new tradition! Tacos and margaritas in place of turkey, nothing wrong with that.

Last season was great and I think it gets better every year. I hear the girls this year are fabulous and why wouldn't they be. I can't wait to see the new fashions and old friends.

Congrats to the Debutante's of 2010!

Ainsley & Ben ~ A Wedding

Ainsley and Ben were married in Houston at St. Anne's with the reception at the Houstonian. I was second shooting for this one and I was so happy to be there. They were such a warm and inviting family. The brides family was from New Orleans so we got along swiminly since thats where my roots are.You can tell it was a party because they had a wedding cake AND banana's Foster and a big fish sitting on ice. Who would't call that a party!? Plus the band was from Austin called Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes. Amazing! Check it out!

Emily & Robert ~ A Country Wedding

This wedding was in June of 2010 out near Brennan, Texas. If anyone has been to Texas in June or even heard about that time of year, its hot. It's really hot. Luckily we were at a beautiful farm situated on a slight hill. After the sun went down we started to get some breezes and it was quite nice actually.
The heat did not bother Emily and Robert this day. They only thing on their minds was each other. I was with the bride before the ceremony and the other photographer was with the groom. I don't know about Robert, but Emily couldn't get out of there fast enough to see him. Once the church doors opened, all that anxiety and stress washed away. The instant vision and feeling of love was felt through out the whole church.
Congrats to Emily and Robert! May your love and marriage be as hot as that June evening.
