Abbie & Jeff ~ A Mexico Wedding

For this last Friday before Christmas, I want to post a quick teaser of Jeff and Abbie's wedding. I shot this over Thanksgiving weekend in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The wedding was held at the Gran Porto Real All Inclusive Hotel and Spa. They had about 50 of their closest friends and family spend the holiday weekend with them on the beach.  You might remember them from a previous post of their engagement session. I've known Jeff for a very long time and I am so happy to see him with the most perfect person. These two were made for each other. I wish you both many, many more happy and excitment filled years. Congratulations!

Baby Blake ~ A Little One

Blake was 4 weeks old when I got to meet her and shoot her first portrait. I was worried she'd be asleep the whole time since she had just been bathed and fed, but I was wrong. She was awake and posing for me throughout the whole session. Mommy and daddy did a great job as well keeping her happy and making her smile. I can't wait to see her again on her next mile stone that needs to be photographed.
Welcome to the world Sweet Baby Blake.

2010 Debutante ~ A New Season Begins

In honor of the official start to Debutante Season, I am posting just a few of my favorites from last season. I begin tonight and I am so excited! Last season was great and I think it gets better every year. I hear the girls this year are fabulous and why wouldn't they be. I can't wait to see the new fashions and old friends.

Congrats to the Debutante's of 2010!

Katie & Jordan ~ A Wedding

Katie and Jordan were married on an early summer evening. It was hot, this is Houston so that expected, and the threat of rain was imminent. We made it through the ceremony and into the reception missing the rain. Katie was the most relaxed bride I have ever seen. Her and the bridesmaids played "Name that Actor" while they waited for the ceremony to being. Don't let that sweet face fool you, she'll tell you how it is and that's why I fell in love with her too. I understand Jordan now. Jordan's family is from London and he cake gave it all away with the boat crossing the "pond." Love it! It's been a really long time since I've shot a wedding where the ceremony and reception were all at the church and it was so sweet and intimate. I was the second shooter until the ceremony ended and the rest of the night was mine.
Congratulations to Katie and Jordan! Maybe your marriage be long and happy.

Carolyn & Andrew ~ A Day Wedding

Carolyn and Andrew were married one gorgeous morning in May. It has been a very long time since I've done a day wedding. It seems the trend is usually an evening one, so this was a nice change of pace. Although I did have an evening wedding that day as well. Let's just say I was one tired girl on Sunday.
Catherine's sister got married less than 6 months prior to her. So in that time frame I got to know the family very well. The love between these two shined as bright as the sun did that day. I wish them all the best and congratulations on a new step in their lives. Here's to the Paine's!
